Next time you see an estate agent’s advert in the paper proclaiming
“SOLD IN 24 HOURS”
or a Sold stc board that says
“SOLD ON OPEN DAY”,
could you do me a favour?
Please email the estate agent and ask this question:
“Well done on selling your client’s property so quickly. Just out of interest, don’t you think if you’d actually done a bit of work, really put the effort in, and tried marketing the property for a week or two, you might have achieved a much better price for your client’s property?”
I’m a little worried that vendors are losing thousands of pounds due to estate agents’ obsession with their “a-quick-sale-is-the-best-sale” mentality.
