Had a nice chat the other day with an estate agent. We seemed to be on exactly the same wavelength regarding the underhand practices that some agents resort to when it comes to trying to generate business.
“How refreshing”, I thought. “It’s nice to know there’s still some integrity in the estate agency world…”
Phone call yesterday from a vendor: “I’ve had one of your competitors knocking on my door. They saw your For Sale board in my garden and said they’d like me to switch my instructions from you to them. I have no intention of doing so, but thought you ought to know…”
“Oh, really? That’s terribly unprofessional. And contrary to industry codes of conduct. But thanks for sticking with us. Which agent was it?”, I asked.
